Join us for BSA Merit Badge Days at Retzer Nature Center, June 10 - 14. Come to one or all!Merit Badge workshops are for children in grades 5 and up that are enrolled in the Boy Scouts of America program.Fee: $50 per merit badge workshop.Registration is limited to 20 participants. Register online FEB. 1 - JUNE 6. Minimum five participants required for program to run. PLEASE BE ON TIME: Check-in begins at 8:15 a.m. Workshop starts at 8:30 a.m. Pick up time is between 3-3:30 p.m.Snacks are provided, but participants must provide their own lunch.ASTRONOMY Merit Badge***NOTE- This Merit Badge workbook was revised slightly for 2024. The information below supercedes what was published in the Jan.-Apr. Public Activity Guide.***Class will cover: 1 d, 2, 3, 4 a-4 d, 5, 6 d, 7, 8 a, 9Prerequisites: 1 a-1 c, 3 a-3 d, 4 a-4 d, 5 a-5 d, 6 a-6 c, 9Prerequisites and requirements covered during the workshop must be complete prior to final merit badge blue card signing at the end of the workshop. If requirements are not complete at the end of the workshop, Scouts will need to finish the requirements on their own time and make an appointment with a Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium Merit Badge Counselor before August 31. Horwitz-DeRemer Planetarium will not provide merit badge counselors after August 31 to sign merit badge blue cards.
