Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga practiced in a chair. The class begins seated and moves to standing with or without using a chair for balance. Participants may choose to stay seated the entire time. Chair Yoga helps increase strength, flexibility, balance, and mindbody awareness. Research shows benefits may include lower levels of stress, anxiety, depression, blood pressure, cholesterol, and pain.
