Description
Holmen Impact Volleyball is for girls in 4th/5th (combined age group), 6th, 7th and 8th grade interested in participating in a fun, competitive, learning-filled volleyball experience.Players must attend school in the Holmen School District.Practices: All practices will start the week of March 4th. The season typically ends in the middle of May. No practice on NO SCHOOL days.4th/5th Grade: Mondays and Thursdays: 5:30-7:00pm @ Holmen Middle School6th Grade: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 5:30-7:00pm @ Prairieview Elementary School7th Grade: Mondays and Thursdays: 7:00-8:30pm @ Holmen Middle School8th Grade: Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:00-8:30pm @ Prairieview Elementary School*There are a few instances where practices are at a different location or canceled due to gym availability. Final practice schedule will be emailed out before the start of the season. Practice schedule subject to change depending on gym availability with the School District. If school is canceled due to weather, practice will also be canceled.Tournaments: Teams joining Holmen Impact will participate in the Wisconsin Independent Volleyball League. The WIVL organizes tournaments on Saturdays throughout March, April and May that are typically within 2hrs away. Each team will attend approximately four tournaments throughout the season - dates/locations TBD.Fee: $150 per player**ALL players will be getting a new jersey this year. Returning players will not be able to use jerseys from past years. Therefore, the fee is the same for all players this year.Registration Deadline: February 15, 2024*Please provide a current email address at registration. All season info will be sent out via email prior to the season starting.Team Formation: All girls will be placed on a grade level team based on skill after an independent evaluation at practice.Coaching: Coaching will primarily be parent volunteers with volleyball experience. Skill development, teamwork, mindset, controlling your attitude and effort and respecting all aspects of the game will all be emphasized.
