2022 Recreation Basketball League (5th-6th Grade)

About This Event

ATTENTION 5th-6th graders! You have a basketball season created specifically for you. The focus of this full-court 5 on 5 Recreation Basketball League is the introduction of basketball principals, skills development, physical exercise, and to learn and enjoy the sport of basketball. This league is open to all 5th-6th graders who are interested in playing a fun life-long sport. These will be split into boys & girls divisions. Practices will be during the week, and games on Saturday mornings. Game Dates: November 12, 19, December 3, 10, 17Time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Nights (Practices) & Saturday Mornings (Games)Location: Butler Elementary & some St. Edmond Arena Cost: $505/6th grade recreation basketball clinic- Tuesday, October 25 5:45-6:30pm All-Inclusive Jersey Required.*Teams will be formed based upon the schools you attend. Team request will no longer be taken into consideration UNLESS it's two coaches requesting to coach together.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------League Formats Depending on Number of ParticipationPractices & Scheduled Games-Enough participants registered for each league-36 participants registered-Enough volunteer coaches to cover all teams (confirmed coaches)-Team games and practicesPractices & Pick-Up Play-Not enough participants for scheduled games-Less than 36 participants-Not enough volunteer coaches to accommodate individual teams-One practice/week-One "Pick-Up" scrimmage/weekSkills/Open Gyms-Less than 16 participants registered-Four weeks of skills camps-One open gym/week*Anything less than 12 participants will not be offered *Format decisions will be made on registration deadline date--late participants will not count towards these numbers due to planning and timing If in the event of cancellation or modification there will be no cash/check/credit/debit refunds given. All refunds will be placed on your parks and recreation account to be used for future parks and recreation purchases.
