About the program: The City of Lafayette Parks Trails & Recreation Department has been carrying on the tradition of Junior Cotillion for 30 years. The Junior Cotillion Program is an introductory course for 7th graders in which students learn how to have fun dancing with a partner. The goal of The Junior Cotillion is to acquire ease, grace, and self-assurance during formal occasions. Students will learn to dance with many different partners and practice conversational manners necessary for fun and popularity at social events. Instructor Gail Enright and her friendly assistants energize the students with a mix of dance moves and music guaranteed to make each class fly by.Dress requirements: For the girls- Skirts or dresses (no strapless or backless) and appropriate shoes that may be open toe but not flip flops.Dates: September 25-November 20st 6:30PM-7:30PM | No Class: 10/16Times: 6:30-7:30PMImportant Information: Cotillion is a very popular program that fills up quickly each year. Before enrolling, please consider your child's schedule, including sports and other extracurricular activities, as well as the mandatory parent volunteer date, to ensure they can fully commit to the program.
