Directing theater can feel overwhelming! Where do you start? What do you focus on? How do you bring the words on the page to life for the audience? In this class for experienced actors, students will learn the fundamentals of directing and then direct their own scene. Aspiring directors will discover how to be successful when selecting a script, casting, blocking, rehearsing, designing sets, and working with technical directors to enhance the vision. Class ends with a showcase for friends and family.NOTE: This class is excellent for aspiring student directors orthose interested in serving as Junior Assistant Directors in SCCT productions.
