Advanced Taekwondo (red belts - black belts)

About This Event

Taekwondo, one of the newest Olympic sports, is a 2,000-year-old martial art, offering a variety of benefits for people of all ages and physical abilities. Students have the opportunity to improve concentration, self-esteem, achieve lifelong physical fitness, and learn self-defense skills. Classes are taught under the direction of Grand Master Ki Hong Kim (9th Dan Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters). All students should talk to their instructor on the first day to get sized for a uniform which costs $50 cash or check. Uniforms are required to complete the class and to test for belt rank. Belt testing is offered through KH Kim Taekwondo, at an additional fee. Tests happen at the instructor's discretion when the student has learned the appropriate skills. All green belt students (Ages 7 yrs and up) are required to have complete sparring gear, which is purchased from the instructor.Students will develop heightened focus, mental discipline, and strategic thinking, while enhancing their cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, body control, and the beginning of mastery-level material to prepare students not only to earn their black belt, but to embody the role of a martial artist at the highest level.
