Adventure Camp at Palmetto Islands - Surf Kayak/Longboarding

Description

Campers will work with trained personnel and receive instruction on paddling skills, rescue techniques, and wet exits in the comfort of the lake at James Island County Park. On Wednesday, campers will receive an introduction to beach safety, wave dynamics, and etiquette at the beach. On Thursday, we will use our newly acquired skills to catch some waves at a local break! Campers will also have the opportunity to learn about longboarding including equipment, safety, and riding techniques. We will explore the trails of the park while practicing our skating skills.
