Aikido For Children and Families

About This Event

This introductory Aikido course is designed specifically for children (ages 6 - 13) to learn the fundamentals of Japanese martial arts in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. The focus is on movement, coordination, respect, discipline, and confidence-building rather than on physical strength or competition.  Aikido is a non-aggressive martial art that teaches students how to move safely, balance, and work cooperatively with others. Children will learn through games, structured movement drills, and simple partner exercises that emphasize awareness, respect, and self-control.
