Description
This class explores the basics of aviation for the novice. Topics include the history of aviation, the (simplified) science of flight, types of aircraft, flight instruments, maneuvers, navigation, weather, and air traffic control. A computer flight simulator allows students hands-on ‘stick time’ to experience control of an aircraft. The instructor holds a commercial pilot’s license and flight instructor certificate.
