ARRC: Nature and Art Cyanotypes (Culture Blocks)
5027 Idlewild Rd N, Mint Hill, NC 28227, USA
Description
This program starts with a nature walk to collect plant specimens. The group will then discuss and describe the materials they have collected. The plant specimens will then be used as the subject in Cyanotype images. The Cyanotype is one of the earliest forms of photography, which uses only light-sensitive paper (or fabric) and sunlight. Students will receive a fun, hands-on approach to understanding light by creating their own individual sun print—or cyanotype. The workshop will be a fully hands on experience that combine art and nature! Participants will take home the Cyanotype they make. This program is offered in partnership with ASC Culture Blocks and The Light Factory. Please register all family members who will attend.
