Williamson County Parks & Recreation & Williamson County Animal CenterBark ‘n’ Splash BashSaturday, September 6, 2025EVENT RULESBy participating in the Bark ‘n’ Splash Bash you assume full responsibility for your dog and understand that the Williamson County Animal Center and the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department are not liable for any injury or loss to pets and/or people resulting from your participation and your pet’s participation in this event. This is an off-leash event where dogs will be running and swimming so for the safety of everyone, all spectators must stay in the designated area. Young children must be supervised in the spectator area at all times by an adult other than the handler.Only handlers (must be 18 or older) and dogs are allowed in the water or in the active event area of the pool deck. Two dog handlers allowed per dog, one dog per handler. Due to chlorine reduction and safety concerns, handlers MAY ONLY ENTER THE POOL TO WAIST DEPTH. Certain pool and pool deck areas may be closed at the discretion of the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. Please obey all boundaries.Dogs shall wear a collar or harness with ID and rabies tags attached. Leashes may be removed after entering the pool area. No shock collars, or prong collars are permitted while in the active event area. No female dogs in heat or puppies under six (6) months old are permitted to participate in any way and are prohibited from being in the active event area.DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR ADMISSIONImportant: AT CHECK-IN, you MUST provide proof of current rabies vaccination status for EACH dog in order to participate, unless your dog has an exemption from your veterinarian. In that case, please bring the exemption document as your proof. Dogs will not be admitted without the required documentation, and phone calls to your veterinarian’s office are not permitted as proof. The State of Tennessee requires all cates and dogs, six months of sage or older be vaccinated against rabies. Any dog who exhibits any sign of aggression or who is not under the physical and voice control of his handler must immediately leave the premises. All dogs attending must be friendly with dogs and people, sociable, and well-mannered.Guests are not permitted to force dogs into the water against their will. This includes pulling them in or pushing or tossing them in. This results in fearful dogs and creates anxiety among the dogs. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet.Any violation of these event rules shall result in the immediate expulsion of the dog and the dog’s handler and owner from the event area at the determination by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department supervising personnel.
