Basketball - 6th Grade Girls
810 Aspen Dr, Vernon Hills, IL 60061, USA
Description
Our 5th and 6th grade basketball leagues provide players an opportunity to continue their skill development. The emphasis in these leagues will continue to be sportsmanship, skill development, participation and fun. Both leagues will use a full-size court and have two referees per game. We will keep score, but there will be no standings kept. All players will receive a team jersey and participation medal. Mandatory Skill Day: October 22nd from 10-11:30am at the Sullivan Center. Players not attending skill day will not be included in the team draft. They will be randomly assigned once teams are formed. Coach/friend requests are not honored. Practices will begin the week of November 29th at local schools. Leagues will play 10 games on Saturday mornings/afternoons beginning in January. Occasionally, Friday evening games may be scheduled if necessary. Volunteer coaches are needed to lead team practices. All training is provided. Please contact Jay Bullman at jasonb@vhparkdistrict.org if you are interested in coaching.
