Registration availability in all leagues is limited based on number of staff that are available and facility space. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Whether your child is new to basketball or a seasoned player…they will have fun in our jr. high basketball league. Paid coaches will help your player grow their fundamentals and teach them game strategies throughout the season. Teams will practice once per week. Reversible jersey with number is included in the registration cost. Boys Early Bird Registration Deadline: 10/3/22 ($111)Boys Final Registration Deadline: 10/10/22 ($121) Girls Early Bird Registration Deadline: 1/2/23 ($111) Girls Final Registration Deadline: 1/9/23 ($121) GENERAL INFORMATION For more information on all CARD Youth Sports leagues, visit us at: www.chicorec.com/youth-sports-general-information Updates: Players will be emailed their team information (from an @chicorec.com address) by the Friday before the first week of practices. Practices: Practices day and time are dependent on the coach and gym availability. Teams will have one 1.5 hour practice per week on non-game days. No practices the week of 11/21-11/25. 6th-8th Grade BOYS: Practices start the week of October 316th-8th Grade GIRLS: Practices start the week of January 23. Games: Wednesdays and/or Fridays between 4-8pm based on number of teams in the league (6 game guarantee per team, with the 6th game starting a single elimination end of season tournament). Each game is approximately one hour. All game days are tentative and are subject to change. No games or practices the week of 11/21-11/25. 6th-8th Grade Boys: Games on Wednesdays and/or Fridays, 11/4-12/236th-8th Grade Girls: Games on Wednesdays and/or Fridays, 1/25-3/8 Uniforms: Cost of a reversible jersey is included in registration. Locations: Practice and game location is dependent on gym availability. Special Requests: One buddy request can be made during the registration process. Coach and practice requests will not be accepted. Please read the buddy request process closely to ensure it is valid. Team Formation: Teams will be loosely based on grade and where players attend school. Genders will be separate. Grades may be combined if there is not enough players to sustain a league. All team formation is at the discretion of CARD staff. If CARD staff feels it is necessary to form teams, a "skills evaluation" may be held to evaluate each players skill before forming teams. Note that not all teams will have a skills evaluation.
