Beginner Wheel-Throwing: 6-Week Course with Aden

Ever dreamed of throwing clay into beautiful bowls, mugs, or quirky creations all your own? Join our Beginner Wheel-Throwing class and discover the magic of the pottery- no experience needed but always welcome.Over six weeks, you’ll get your hands muddy as you learn the fundamentals of ceramics from start to finish. We’ll guide you through every step:Wedging and preparing clay Centering clay on the wheel Throwing bowls, cylinders, and mugsTrimming and shaping your pieces Pulling and attaching handles or knobs Exploring glazes and simple decorating techniquesWhether you’re looking for a new creative outlet, have some experience and would like to brush up on the fundamentals, or just need an excuse to play with mud, this class is for you. Time and Date: Thursdays at 5:15 - 7:45pm on August 7, 14, 21, 28, (no class on September 4) and September, 11, 18.Cost: $160 -- Class price includes glazes, firing, open studio time, and 25# clay. Additional clay: $20+/25# new clay, $10/25# recycled clay. Please bring an old towel or rag for personal use in the studio. All other materials and tools will be provided. Instructor: Aden Hock
