City Walk Mason Park and Old Harrisburg, 6.5 miles

About This Event

Starting at the East End's Mason Park, this walk will take us to the confluence of Bray's and Buffalo Bayous, then on to Brady Island, and the site of Harrisburg, the earliest Texas settlement on the Buffalo Bayou. From there we continue to Glendale Cemetery, final resting place of San Jacinto veterans and many early Texas pioneers (sites still available at reasonable rates.) After all that excitement we head home. Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. The heat in Texas is always a concern so let someone know if you are having a hard time.
