River Forest Residents OnlyOne Plot Per Household The River Forest Park District and Village of River Forest are offering residents the opportunity to rent 4'x10' garden plots for the purpose of a vegetable garden.Registration for a single garden plot will open on Monday, February 23. On a First-Come, First-Serve Basis. If available, registration for a second garden plot will open on Monday, March 9th. Garden plots will be assigned on Monday, March 23rd with previous year participants having the opportunity to garden the same plot. Garden plots are non transferable.The Community Gardens is a Carry In/Carry Out site. All participants are required to carry out any trash they generate in the park and dispose of it at their homes.The Community Gardens are located at the Village Pump House Site at Jackson Ave. and Berkshire Street.
