Description
East Bay Kokikai Aikido offers ongoing youth and adult Aikido classes, a self-defense martial art that emphasizes "minimum effort, maximum effect" through throws and pins. The program focuses on blending with an attacker's motion and redirecting force rather than opposing it directly, making it suitable for all ages and athletic abilities. Classes are held year-round at the Emeryville Center of Community Life.
