We welcome all boys players to tryout for our 8th grade HCI Select Basketball Team for the fall season. Interested players must attend one of the two tryout dates to be considered for a team (players do not need to attend both days)Please use your grade for the 2025-26 school yearSunday, August 17th Tryout Time: 1pm-2:30Tuesday, August 19th Tryout Time: 5:30pm-7*Tryout Fee is $20*Season Snapshot- Runs from September through end of October- 2 practices per week - Mondays 7:30-9p, Thursdays 6:30 - 8p/Saturdays 2:30-4p- Weekend Fall LeagueOffers- Initial offers will go out starting Wednesday, August 20th- Depending on acceptance of offers, more offers may be extended through August 23rdOur Select Basketball PhilosophyWhat We Are- Our goal is to provide an exceptional, structured, competitive playing experience that is rooted in player and human development- We will make a concerted effort to create a schedule that considers the lives of players and their families outside of sports- The coaches on staff will strive to help each player grow in all areas of their game with an emphasis on team concepts- We will stay within the state of Texas when playing tournaments- 99% of tournaments offer a developmental, competitive, or elite skill level division. We will aim to place each team accordingly so players are challenged but have opportunities for successWhat We’re Not- We are not a win at all costs program- We do not poach players from other programs in the Austin area- We are not going to travel the U.S. finding the most ultra elite tournaments to play in* All sales are final.
