About This Event

UPDATE 10-4-2022: You must be a minimum age of 14 years old to now referee for the City of Maricopa. The state allows 13+ for sports, but our contractor, Devau, who we employee referees with, does not allow that. We currently cannot allow 13 years old to volunteer with us either.Welcome to Fall Youth Soccer!Maricopa Team Sports has offered recreation youth soccer for over 10 years. With your help as a referee during this season, you will learn and gain experience as an official to the game of soccer. Your control of the game will help keep the flow by ensuring the players are safe, the game is fun, and the ruling is fair.Location: Copper Sky Regional Park – 44345 W. In some cases, for training, a referee might be assigned to this division. If a referee is assigned to a game in this age division they could be pulled where needed if other age divisions that require referees are short referees.Concussion Protocol:Parent/Guardian will be called onsite for any suspected head injury immediately.If a player is suspected to have a head injury the referees (Coaches) are instructed to stop play to allow for treatment/evaluation as needed.If the player leaves the field of play for additional evaluation, a substitution can be made at that moment.The player with the suspected head injury may not return to the game unless they receive written permission from their Health Care Professional (HCP).Any coach or parent insisting on returning the player to the game without approved clearance will result in the referee, coach, or staff asking the parent and player to leave the game area.
