Youth Basketball Spring Clinic (1 Session)The Franklin Recreation Complex is pleased to announce the addition of a new youth basketball clinic!Dates:Saturday, October 18Times: 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.Attending the clinic will help improve your young player's fundamentals. The clinic will teach the game and make it fun at the same time. We use the clinic to promote sportsmanship and develop leadership skills.The boys and girls will be taught basic techniques of shooting, dribbling, passing and team play.Here are a few things you will learn out on the court;1. Ballhandling drills2. Proper shooting technique3. Passing and catching skills4. Basketball movements and athleticism5. Sportsmanship6. Basic 3 on 3 strategyWe will have competitive contests. These include knockout, free throws, shooting and dribbling. Our skills contests are designed to give every young player a chance to be successful and have fun at the same time.The clinics will be led by Coach Tom Richardson. Coach Richardson is a retired Division I college basketball coach with 25 years of experience at Illinois State University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Pittsburgh.The cost for the clinic is $60.00 per player.
