Griffin Performance Judo

Description

Judo is a Japanese Martial Art and Olympic sport. In this class, Students will learn the basics of Kodokan Judo. They will learn to roll and fall safely and will practice basic Judo standing throws (Tachi Waza), Ground Techniques (Ne Waza), as well as some self-defense techniques, all in a fun and safe environment. Students will also learn about Japanese traditions and terms related to the practice of Judo. Each class will start with a warm-up and will teach important Judo values such as respect, discipline, and mutual welfare. All our Instructors are advanced degree black belts and accomplished national & international champions. Please come and join us to discover this great sports and international community! Each student will need a judogi for practice (uniform). They can either bring one of their own or we can provide a new judogi to them at a price of $110 at the beginning of the session through Griffin Judo. Class located at Griffin Judo training center - 1374 10th St, Berkeley, CA 94710. Session price includes ONE class per week.
