Hispanic Cultural Cooking: Empanadas

Description

This class provides a cultural immersion culinary experience, some basic Spanish food vocabulary, and the history of a traditional recipe for empanadas across Latin America. Students receive a video of the preparation of beef empanadas from Peru and apple empanadas from Mexico, enjoy a taste of homemade empanadas, and get a handout of the recipe and the history of empanadas.
