Honor Our Veterans at Fort Lawton

Walk at Discovery Park, the former Fort Lawton, on Veterans' Day. . Discovery Park is the name the city bestowed on what was a long-time US Army base called Fort Lawton. Our route will visit the park and the military cemetery, providing a 5, 8 or 10K route. The 5K route is the basic and popular Loop Trail. The 8k adds the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center. The 10K route includes a walk down to the Lighthouse and back. The 5 and 8K routes are rated 2B. The 10K is 3B. Registration at Discovery Park North Lot from 9 to 10AM. From I-5: Exit 167 Mercer (NB = left-hand exit). Stay on Mercer, 1.7 miles to end, as it goes downhill, veers right and merges onto Elliott Ave. W. Turn RIGHT onto Elliott, then 1.9 miles to "Emerson St / Nickerson St"
