Do you want to learn more about horses and how to be around them? Then this is the PERFECT activity for you! This class will review important ground skills of handling and being around a horse, in a hands-on environment. It's great for kids 7+ AND adults. All ages welcomed!Miss Jenn of Misty Run Eventing will go over all the fun and amazing aspects of taking care of a horse (she will also include some of the not so fun things, too).You will learn how to be safe around a horse, catching the horse and getting them to come out of the field, haltering, leading, grooming, and tacking, etc. The last 2 classes will also include mounting and dismounting and getting the horse to walk while mounted.This is a great class to take before, after, or in addition to our other riding programs.***IMPORTANT***Attendance at the first day of class is MANDATORY to complete the remaining classes as important safety instructions are given.Participants must wear long pants and closed toe shoes with a heel.Helmets are required and provided. If you have your own helmet, please bring it.Lessons are done inside a riding arena, but it is not heated, so still dress appropriately for the weather.
