All ages.Museum of the Grand Prairie, Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 2 – 3:30 PMStep back in time and hear from Nancy Hanks Lincoln and Sarah Bush Lincoln, the two early influential figures to 16th U.S. President, Abraham Lincoln. Nancy Hanks was the mother of Abraham Lincoln, remembered for her frontier resilience and influence on the future president during his early childhood in Kentucky and Indiana. Sarah Bush was Lincoln’s devoted stepmother, whose encouragement of reading and education helped nurture his intellectual growth on the Indiana frontier. The historical figures will be portrayed by Ann Morris Bruehler, a lifetime member of the Association of Lincoln Presenters. She is involved in live theatre as an actor, director, producer and writer in Charleston, Illinois. Q&A and photo ops will begin at 3 PM.
