Tower Grove Park is seeking volunteers to independently help maintain new plantings at the East Stream Restoration Project, also known as Nee Kee Nee. This opportunity is designed for individuals who are comfortable working autonomously without direct supervision.Volunteers may participate on a flexible, self-guided basis every other Monday. Tasks include identifying native plants, removing invasive weeds, and hauling plant materials as needed.This role can be physically demanding and requires volunteers to be in good physical health and able to work safely and independently in an outdoor environment.This opportunity will run from 9 am – 11 am.UPDATE: We will meet at the end of Osborn Drive, located at 38°36'15.2"N 90°14'42.1"W. Who can attend?This work requires tools. It is not suited for children, and only those 18 years or older will be allowed to help.What forms do I need to sign?Upon checkout, the ActiveNet site will prompt you to read and acknowledge a Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability form. You will also be asked to provide Emergency Contact information.What do I need to bring?We recommend bringing gloves, as many volunteers prefer to use their own gloves and water bottles. However, gloves will be available on-site for anyone who forgets to bring a pair. Volunteers may borrow one pair of gloves if needed. The park will provide all necessary tools and equipment to complete the volunteer project. Please dress appropriately for both the work activities and the weather conditions.Please note that restroom facilities may not be readily available in all areas of the park, so we encourage you to plan accordingly.
