Membership Discount Will Appear at Checkout Parent & Child Parent & Child: For children ages 6months-3 years There is no pre-requisite for this classThe goal of the Parent & Child Level 1 is to provide experiences and activities for young children. They will learn to ask for permission before entering the water, enter and exit the water safely, and feel comfortable in the water. Children will practice blowing bubbles, submerging their mouth, nose, eyes and head. They will explore floating on their front and back, and changing position in the water. Children will learn how to play safely in the water and also experience wearing a US Coast Guard-approved PFD.Parents will learn safety skills including how to properly supervise children and maintain safe behavior in and around the water, basic water safety information about potential hazards, holding and support techniques, and determining child?s readiness for new skills
