Park Bench Dedication

About This Event

Benches are available for purchase and placement in South Burlington parks and along recreation paths to commemorate a person or a group. The bench will be placed at the designated park or location along the recreation path and will remain until it becomes unsafe or aesthetically unacceptable. The bench will be a 6’ recycled plastic park bench (black base with dark green slats) and includes a mounted 2.5” x 8” precision tooled bronze plaque. Plaque inscription will be limited to the physical dimensions of the plaque. Processing Time – Benches take 4-7 weeks for acquisition and installation. Requests received from March through September will be processed as they come in. All requests received from October through February will be processed in March, as installation requires warmer weather. *Please note that not all parks or recreation path sections are able to support additional bench dedications. In such cases a new bench dedication can replace an existing older bench without dedication.
