Classics, Past and Present - Part 1They say art is not made in a vacuum - because the things we make are influenced by the world around us and the things that came before us. In this class we're going to intentionally look at some classic glazes, techniques, and potters, both past and present. We'll experiment with a few decorating techniques, try altering the color of a few base glazes, and learn about some famous potters. All of the things you learn can be used to help inspire the pots you're making, both wheel thrown and hand built. Class price includes glazes, firing, open studio time, and 25# clay. Additional clay: $20/25# new clay, $10/25# recycled clay. Please bring an old towel or rag for personal use in the studio. Dates: Mondays, 5:15pm—7:45pm.
