Decorating TechniquesLearning to make things is an important part of the ceramics journey, and decorating is like putting icing on a cake, another part of the process that can be fun and exciting! Sometimes we simply glaze our pieces at the very end. Other decorating techniques can be planned for and applied at different stages of the making process to add extra interest to the finished piece.During this class session we will be working on using slips, stains, underglazes, and also layering techniques to give a mixed effect. Each week we'll start class with a demonstration and practice, which you can then pursue on other pieces you're working on independently.This class is appropriate for beginners and for students with experience. We will be working with both wheel thrown and hand built pieces. Class price includes glazes, firing, open studio time, and 25# clay. Additional clay: $20/25# new clay, $10/25# recycled clay. Please bring an old towel or rag for personal use in the studio. Dates: Mondays, 5:15pm-7:45pm. March 16th-May 11th (no class March 30th)Fees: $200Instructor: Rebecca Lundberg
