Description
The Shining Stars Program at Super Soccer Stars uses soccer as a vehicle to teach life skills to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our philosophy is one of re-identification from that of an individual with “special needs,” to that of a soccer player. Using a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed by licensed educators and therapists, we work on promoting the complete growth of each individual while encouraging players to improve at their own pace. By providing a safe space to learn through this curriculum, we’re able to enhance social interactions between players and empower them to confidently play the beautiful game.
