For the last several years, the sport of pickleball has been dubbed the “fastest growing sport in America.” One reason for its popularity is that it is a fun sport for all ages and designed for all levels of fitness. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, ping-pong and badminton that is played on a court about one-third the size of a tennis court with a net that is 34 inches high at the center using an over-sized ping pong paddle and a perforated ball similar to a wiffle ball. Let Skyhawks teach you the basics of play and the scoring system and you will fast become a fan yourself.Parks and Recreation Fee (PARF)Community members who live, or own property, within the City of Tigard pay a Parks and Recreation Fee (PARF).
