Join us for a fabulous afternoon of film, friendship, and fun with a special screening of "Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super-shero," an award-winning animated musical comedy created by our very own Tony Hand!Tony, who many of you know from his popular “Tech with Tony” series, returns to Avenidas for this lively event hosted in collaboration with our Rainbow Collective. While the film celebrates drag culture and vibrant self-expression, it’s also a heartfelt story about inclusion, representation, and the power of living authentically — values that resonate with all of us.The afternoon begins at 2:30 pm with a social mixer and light refreshments, followed by the screening at 3:00 pm. After the film, Tony will stick around for a casual Q&A to share behind-the-scenes stories and answer your questions.This event is open to the entire Avenidas community and their guests, and we’re extending the invitation to other older adult LGBTQ+ groups around the Bay Area.Come celebrate creativity, community, and a dash of drag magic—we can’t wait to see you there!*The film is 90 minutes long.
