Summer Softball Clinic This softball skills clinic is designed as an opportunity for interested Kindergarten through 6th grade softball players who want to continue to work on their throwing, catching and hitting skills this summer. East Grand Rapids Middle School and High School coaches and players will run the clinic sessions each week at Manhattan Park. This is a drop-in style program, which means that if you have to miss a week or two due to conflicts, that is OK and you still should sign up and attend as many sessions as possible. Due to the program taking place outside, sessions may be cancelled due to inclement weather and will not be made up or rescheduled. Athletes will be divided into groups for skill work based on ages and abilities. Athletes should plan to bring their gloves each week, wear cleats or athletic shoes, appropriate athletic clothing for the weather and should bring a water bottle. It is recommended that athletes consider wearing a hat or visor and sunscreen for each session. If athletes have their own helmet or bats they are welcome to bring them each session- please make sure they are labeled.
