Young Illustrator Ages 6-7

Description

Young illustrators explore the vastly different illustration styles in popular children’s books by Maurice Sendak, Eric Carle, and Lane Smith, using them as a jumping off point to create illustrations of their own! Campers create art in watercolor, ink, tempera, collage, and chalk inspired by their favorite stories. We learn about the role of the illustrator as we create artwork that tells a story.
