7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219, USA
Description
"Finding Joy: Reflecting Back and Looking Forward". An opportunity to find the nuggets of positivity and inspiration after the challenges of recent times. Based on story, you will be using art to express feelings that help you to move forward. In this program, you will learn a variety of new art techniques and have a colorful piece of artwork measuring 20" x 20" in the end. This could be a treasured piece of your personal history depicting recent times. A celebration of the participant-artists, with an exhibition of completed art pieces and narratives, will be held after the final session. Family members, friends, and community members will be invited to the celebration to share refreshments and discuss the art. This program was made possible by the Regional Arts & Culture Council and in partnership with Geezer Gallery. This is an in-person program.
