Join Park Ranger Benson for an informative session on keeping your four-legged friend safe while hiking on Phoenix’s mountain trails. We will cover rules and regulations, what to bring when you hike with your dog, how to avoid dangerous hazards and what to do if you do find yourself in an emergency situation. Then we will hit the trails on the Phoenix Mountains Preserve’s beautiful Nature Trail (304). Meet at the Ocotillo Ramada area for the instructional portion, then enjoy a 1.5 mile hike in the Preserve. Well-behaved, leased dogs are encouraged to join. Please make sure to bring a hat and sunscreen, plenty of water for yourself and your pet, a leash and poop bags, and all your burning questions related to hiking with dogs.
