CHP “AGE WELL/DRIVE SMART” PROGRAMCHP’S “Age Well/Drive Smart” – for licensed drivers from 20 years to 120 years to stay driving longer and safer.Free, interactive program that contains the following topics:-tips to understand driving safety-bicycle and pedestrian safety-distracted driving information – it’s not just the phone-inexpensive care safety accessories-DUI-new technologyIn addition to the above topics, we discuss developing a plan before you stop driving, including a Transportation Cost Sheet to calculate current vehicle operating costs, and discuss available transportation options. There will be an opportunity to speak with and listen to a California Highway Patrol officer in person.At the end of the program, licensed attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance.Many California car insurance companies have recently increased their rates on car insurance. For licensed drivers over the age of 55 years, this Certificate of Attendance may help to offset the increases in your car insurance rates by applying for the Mature Driver Discount (which is separate and different from your Century Age Discount).Thursday, 2/26 10:00am-Noon Elderberry Room, Lafayette Community Center Free
