Dog Sled Training Ride

Ever wonder what we do to train and prepare our sled dogs for winter dog sledding before there is snow on the ground? Well this fall we are giving you the opportunity to find out and experience it for yourself! Beginning on October 7, 2021 you can now register and join us for a fall training experience. These experiences will be offered every Friday, and Saturday mornings. We will be able to take two adults and one child (ages 6 - 10) for each session. The cost is $120.00. You will meet our dog sled team and our amazing huskies at our fall hook up site (right across from the therapeutic riding center) at 7:00 AM, meaning there is a chance of an incredible view of the sunrise as we ride! You will join one of our experienced mushers on an extended training run. Runs can be anywhere from 14 miles long to 40 miles long. Upon completion of the run, you will see how we care for the dogs, unhook and put them away, as well as how we stow away all of the remaining equipment. This program will run from October 7 - November 26.
